Wednesday, August 16, 2017
The internet is an essential tool in today’s society, yet many people are being left behind – especially older adults. Some don’t know why it’s relevant, other’s can’t afford a device or the monthly cost of the internet and many don’t have the skills to use it independently and safely. Without a device, a home internet connection and skills millions of people in the US can’t access employment or educational opportunities, can’t connect with family or their doctor, and have to rely on others to find information. If you are working with residents who are not taking advantage of on the internet, there are some things you can do to help.
This webinar will focus on these aspects of getting older adults connected:
• Understanding the Relevance
• Getting a Suitable Device
• Gaining Digital Skills
• Connecting to Internet at Home
