What are CMP Grants?
Civil Monetary Penalty (CMP) funds are monetary penalties imposed by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) against skilled nursing facilities (SNFs). A portion of these funds are then returned to the state in which they were imposed and reinvested through grants that seek to improve quality of care or quality of life of residents. All Medicare and/or Medicaid certified SNFs in California are eligible to participate in LeadingAge California’s CMP grant-funded projects.
The iNSPIRE Project provides SNFs with the iN2L engagement technology, which offers thousands of computer-based
experiences aimed at improving quality of life.
New! The Java Project provides SNFs with Java’s peer support programs which reduce loneliness and depression and increase activity participation.
Launching in December 2022, the Enlightenment Project provides SNFs with Obie’s engaging and entertaining technology.
Launching in January 2023, the GARDEN Project provides SNFs with a therapeutic connection to nature through innovative gardening products and services.
