COVID-19 Top Five Things to Know for March 23, 2020

1. cases are increasing
   Cases of COVID-19 are increasing. In California, approximately 1300 cases have been confirmed and 35,000 in the U.S. Keep up to date with the COVID-19 tracker. Reminder to stay at home and maintain physical distance.
2. cDC has issued visitation guidance
   CDC has issued interim guidance on independent living in retirement communities and affordable housing settings. Consider limiting visitation.
3. Create a buddy system
   Create a buddy system for residents to check in on each other and stay connected.
4. Guidance if a Resident Gets Sick or is Infected
   If a resident gets sick, coordinate with your local health department other residents and stay at home for 14 days.
