  2. Budget Committee Issues Ominous Budget Prediction
    As legislative budget hearings begin next week, the Assembly Committee on Budget noted that “nothing could have prepared us for the expected $54.3 billion impact…” of the COVID-19 crisis and anticipates “sizable reductions to services, including in areas that have been traditionally priorities for investment over the last decade.” Western States have asked for $1 Trillion in relief from the federal government.
