The Scholarship Program was developed to give members an opportunity to attend programs and education events who otherwise would be unable to participate because of financial limitations. The funds provide scholarships for administrators in training (AITs), nursing staff and for continuing education for employees of member organizations as outlined below. Scholarships are widely promoted to attract diverse participants. To date, the scholarship program has provided over $100,000 in assistance to members.

Scholarship Testimonials

“I would like to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for the scholarship you awarded me to attend the 2011 LeadingAge Leadership Academy. The program allowed me to learn about myself, leadership and our important field of work. It has truly been a transformational experience and on that I will look to often for perspective and insight. None of this would have been possible without the generous support of [LeadingAge California].”

2011 LeadingAge Leadership Academy Recipient

“[LeadingAge California] has such a wealth of opportunities for our members for continuing education, stimulating conferences and in-depth leadership training. Unfortunately, not all of our members are in a financial position to take advantage of these opportunities. The Scholarship Program was designed to assist those members. My own community has benefited from the program, so it is important to me to give back to it.”
