On Tuesday, a California court overturned California's controversial "Aid-in-Dying" law. California’s law, which allows terminally-ill patients to request lethal medications from their doctors, was passed during a special session of the legislature nearly two years ago.
Superior Court Judge Daniel A. Ottolia ruled that the legislature violated the law when passing AB 2X 1 the legislation during the special session of the legislature devoted to health care financing.
The court is holding its judgement for five days in order to give Attorney General Xavier Beccera a chance to appeal.
